Lovely local spot.Everything is really fresh, full of flavour and they are very friendly.Nice veggie breakfast with halloumi. Just under 10 for a huge fry up and it's cash only.

A great cafe for a very good fry up. It has lots of charm and the staff are friendly. Very good hand cut chips here.

Lovely little cafe that looks like it has been there since the beginning of time. This is not an insult, it looks like it’s a proper institution.I came in as I was in the area waiting for someone and I had the special which was pie and mash, and it did not disappoint. It came with Mash and Veg and was all for a very reasonable price.I would happily revisit, the staff were super friendly and the food came quickly.Be warned they only take cash though, so come prepared.I’ve added a pic of the toilet, but don’t let this put you off, it was super clean and to be honest, that is the most important thing in a toilet, not its modernness.

The Electric Cafe is a 1900s Cafe, this is a extremely rare find. From the front to walking in you are whisked away to the past. The cafe boasts a good menu of popular Breakfast items, what stands out to me the most was the quailty and homemade items such as the chips which was some of the best chips I've had better than the chippies.I had the full English and my plate was perfect not greasy, balanced portion and delicious. 5 for was crispy and not burnt Another mention is tea not any standard greasy spoon or cafe will be able to brew you a good cuppa, which Electric Cafe can. This rare gem is a highly recommended it has been around since 1900s the decor and way things are run are passed from Father to son keeping the tradition going.

Great veggie breakfast at this old-style family-run cafe. The fried mushrooms and bubble were especially delicious. The coffee is filter and the toast is white bread (I forgot to ask for brown). Excellent friendly local, right by a bus stop & not far from Tulse Hill station. Sorry I didn't have room for the homemade coconut cake - must go back!

I always think a good fry up needs to be cooked by someone who loves a fry up. That’s the case here. Best in Brixton/Herne Hill. The setting is really old school too. Reminds me of places my Nan took me, drinking endless cups of tea and smoking.

Came here for brunch whilst visiting family. The staff are very welcoming and the food lush. The full English washed down with a mug of tea, hit the spot.
